Seeing as you're no longer here this might be pointless saying it but...you have a lot of audacity to complain about it as much as you are. The staff not only stated the rules very clearly from the beginning but elaborated on them when asked by many members including myself...not to mention the guy put forth his own money for not just one stick but two so at least the winner could get a choice of which one he wanted. The way he ran the contest was probably the most fair way it could have been ran. Everyone had just as much of a shot as long as they didn't register and drop off the face of the earth. I think you have a problem when even the people that you recommended that should have won (like boke or monir) would tell you that you're probably out of line a bit. You want to know what would have happened if he would have stated that the person who contributed the most was going to be the winner...you would have had at least a hundred people spamming just to get their posts into the thousands and a much crappier board because of it just because they thought it would win them the stick. You also want to know why you're one of the only few that's complaining as much as you are? Because most every one else understood the rules. It should not be that hard for you to comprehend them. It was a random drawing and almost everyone else understood that so why didn't you? All in all you might be bitter about the outcome but be content that unlike many other sites out there the owner actually gives more than two craps about his community and went as far as to even spend his own money for that community just to help expand it and help make it a larger and better one in the end. If you have a problem with it then start your own site and make your own contests...don't ruin it for everyone else by leaving a bad taste in the owners' mouth for running the thing in the first place. Off that note..congrats to inuyasha again. Despite what a few might say you deserved the stick as much as anyone else here whether it be 25 posts or 2500. |
